Brief Description : An opportunity has become available for an apprentice to join the Early Years Caretaking Team which currently consist of a Facilities Manager, Deputy Facilities Manager and four Early Years (EY) Caretakers.
Qualifications Required : GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent qualification)
Vacancy Detail : The purpose of this role is to work as part of the team of EY Caretakers reporting directly to the Deputy Facilities Manager, to make sure our buildings and grounds provide a safe and positive environment for children, families and staff to use.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Carrying out security procedures such as opening/unlocking and closing/locking early year’s buildings. Regular checking of alarms, fire equipment and emergency exits.
- Responding to H&S issues and carrying out general basic repairs and maintenance during operational hours
- Some grounds maintenance duties (weeding, litter picking, tidying etc.)
You will be expected to work a combination of shifts including early, late (night shifts not required), occasional Saturday’s and split shifts to support the early year’s buildings opening and closing times.
