Brief Description : A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven and hardworking AAT apprentice to join a busy and fast paced finance team of the Asegun, a professional accountant and legal cashier based in Croydon.

 

Qualifications Required : minimum GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent qualification)
Vacancy Detail : The successful candidate will be a member of a growing finance team and will be required to work closely with the head of finance, finance manager as well as other members of the organisation. The candidate will support the team in the following areas:

• Accounts payable
• Accounts receivables
• Accruals and prepayments
• Fixed asset register
• Preparation of the management accounts
• Bank reconciliations
• Bookkeeping on Xero software
• Reporting of bad debts
• Expense analysis
• Other ad hoc jobs as and when required

As well as gaining invaluable experience within a finance industry role, the successful candidate will also have the unique opportunity to gain experience working within a practice role too.

The practice role will enable the candidate to gain experience in the following areas:

• Bookkeeping using cloud-based software such as Xero
• Preparing Financial Statements reporting under FRS105 and FRS102
• Preparing Corporation Tax Returns
• Administering payroll
• Preparation of property accounts
• Preparing personal Tax Returns
• Managing the Company Secretarial for the clients (such as confirmation statements and other companies house forms)
• Preparing VAT Returns
• Letter and email writing skills when contacting clients

To be considered for the role the candidate must not:

• Be in full time education
• Be a qualified or part-qualified member of any other accounting bodies (i.e. ATT, ICAEW, ACCA or CTA)
• Have obtained funding for an apprenticeship via another training provider (i.e. Currently have another apprenticeship elsewhere as the same time)
